Bonjour,
In the name of the IGLCC I would like to send a heartfelt thanks to all participants of our First Annual Congress held in Montreal this past weekend. Much beyond our expectations, we were honored to have welcomed 157 members of the global LGBT community in Montreal, our host city, which meant a 50% increase on what we had originally expected.
The congress had a definite international flavor, counting with the presence of several European and North American countries as well as a remarkable presence of leaders from the province of Quebec and the city of Montreal.
I would like to thank all our partners who generously contributed to the success of the event. Also, a warm thanks to all our speakers who shared in abundance of their experience and knowledge.
The IGLCC congratulates also the recipients of its first awards and it is honored to have had their presence and support during its first year.
As we look ahead, I am excited to reaffirm the work already under way on three important pillars of our strategic planning. They are the International LGBT Business Enterprise Certification Program in partnership with IBM, the International LGBT Business Equality Index in partnership with ING and the Market Research Development (starting in the countries where the IGLCC is currently present) in partnership with BC3 Strategies/Double Platinum.
Last, but absolutely not least, it is my pleasure to extend a very special thank you to the IGLCC team here in Montreal for their amazing work during the congress. To César Maschmann, Yves-Marie Lefebvre, Nardjes Rouighi and Luc Gaspard our gratitude and our admiration for their great work since the beginning of the organization. Thank you also to our two volunteers, Marcel Miro and Juan Pablo Munoz who have helped our team put together this great event.
Looking forward to seeing all of you in London this fall!
À bientôt,

Pascal Lépine
Secretary General
